If you ever want to have a game on your computer that periodically won't launch or play get a Steamworks DRM game.

2 game titles which I thought would be near flawless in their playability and they are both ruined by the Game Industry's relentless pursuit of maintaining absolute control over the merchandise even after they've sold a license to it.

Neither Skyrim nor Batman Arkham City will launch.  Trying to contact Steam Support is of course impossible also.&nbs...

I bought Dungeon Seige III here on sale.  I wish I had read up more on the game before purchasing.

The game has potential.  There are good aspects of Action/RPG game style that work well.  It suffers from significant weaknesses though.

I decided to buy the Men Of War bundle last night through Impulse.  Everything worked perfectly.  Purchase was instant and my download was instant.  The D/L speed was great pushing 1.3 MB's per second when I typically top out at about 1.1 MB's.  All files installed without any problem.

So once again thanks Impulse Team!!  Keep up the good work.

I usually don't post this sort of thing but, I think it is needed in this case.  I purchased Fablee III for pc a couple of weeks ago.  The multiplayer aspects of the game don't work, no achievements show up, and aspects of the game are incomplete.

It would be nice if Fences could selectively display a Fence.  For example, I could have 1 or 2 main Fences on my Desktop that would contain shortcuts to other Fences.  Sort of like File Directories and Sub Directories.  This way my Desktop would not be overcrowded with Icons.

I'm wondering when Impulse will make the final update to X3TC from Egosoft available?  It's on the Egosoft website but I'm concerned that since I have the X3 Gold Impulse install that I really need to install this with Impulse.  So... how about it?  Anytime soon?

Well, I've been thinking it might be fun to play some multiplayer games.  I've tried a couple of browser based "free" games.  They were time consuming and of course not really free... if you wanted to make progress in them.

So, with such a great community here, I'm thinking I could get some good pointers on where all the fun is in multiplayer.

I'm open for your suggestions.

I've been working with my new Win 7 Home Premium 64bit based PC.  I've lately been installing suites.  I can't get DX gadgets and widgets working.  DX runs but... themes only.

Could something be blocking it. Maybe Threatfire?

Puzzled.

edit: A few do work like Gloss Mint, Fire, and Aero Midnight.  Still puzzled.

Well, I purchased Demigod on sale because it looked so interesting.  I'm liking it.  I'm still doing single player to improve my skills.

Are there any good guides?  I'm interested in learning what works well.

I hope to be joining multiplayer in the future.

Well since I've gotten my new pc up and running re-installing software has been a priorty.  And as a result of my experience I wanted to let the community know that Impulse has worked beyond my expectations.  It is fast, works trouble free, and I'm even able to register other DVD based purchased software in  Impulse. 

Impulse has even protected my software investment.  Even though I was without a computer for over 2 years, once I got re-established Stardock and Impuls...

Okay so I use MyColors on a Windows XP computer and for awhile it would restore to the XP default icons through MyColors.  Now the only icon that won't restore to XP default is the recycle bin.

I have tried to use XP display properties to restore it. (right click screen, choose Properties, Desktop, Customize Desktop and restore the recycle bin icons full and empty).  However this method fails now and the theme icon remains.

So... any ideas how to fix this???

Since late this afternoon whenever I open Impulse it tries to update itself and fails.  I've reset the data and no luck.  It partially downloads the update and at about 50% or so it fails.  Anyone else seeing this?

Story line.  The Korx are doomed as am I for trying this campaign.  Supposedly I am to escort Yux Ulnar to sector 1,3 to complete this mission.  I am to follow his instruction to get there undetected.  No chance of that happening.  There are no instructions.  Why does this not surprise me.  I've been all over this map.  I have no idea what is meant by sector 1,3 because everytime I've tried to apply logic it just does not work.  No victory condition o...

Rock & Hard Place is the mission to acquire the third shard.  It requires establishing an ally relation with the Iconians.  I've worked hard on this one making sure my abilities were right mainly Diplomacy, Trade and Espionage and,  I have made good progess, until recently, it's seems stuck.

I've reviewed the Victory screen and it's been at 87% for some time.  I've built my relations with the Iconians from the initial cool up to friendly.  It's been expensive.&nbs...
